Marcus Stroman made his home debut in a night that was electric and full of energy, words that can be used to describe the player. Fueled by the atmosphere that the fans created the hometown boy was able to go 6 innings into the game in which he allowed 9 hits and gave up 4 runs, all earned and raking up at season-high 9 strikeouts for the RHP.
Thirdbaseman Todd Frazier came up big with a 3 run homer off of Nats closer Sean Dootlitle that tied up the game in the bottom of the 9th, that set up things so that Michael Confort could walk it of later in the inning.
First baseman, Pete Alonso who also homered in the game was happy to talk about the great second half that the team is having.
